Welcome to Hlávka Dormitory Hostel

The Hlávka Dormitory Hostel, operated by the CTU Service Facilities Administration, offers accommodation during the summer months in the historic building of the Hlávkova Dormitory, which has been a part of Prague's academic life for more than a hundred years. The dormitory was built in 1902–1904 on the initiative of the prominent Czech architect and patron Josef Hlávka for gifted students with excellent grades and limited financial means. It still retains its original character and unique atmosphere.

The hostel offers 87 beds in single and double rooms, providing a comfortable and affordable base for exploring Prague. The rooms are arranged in a practical cell system. The bathroom, toilet and refrigerator are shared by only two rooms, so guests can enjoy significantly more privacy than in regular hostels with central bathroom facilities in the hallway. There is a shared kitchen on each floor, and dishes can be borrowed.

The hostel's great advantage is its location. It is located in the center of Prague, just a few minutes walk from the Charles Square metro station (line B). You can easily reach the National Theater, Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square and other important Prague monuments on foot.

Lovers of greenery and quieter places will appreciate the proximity of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science of Charles University and the Vltava river embankment, which invites you to take pleasant walks.
